This holiday season the
If you are a part of our family, you love basketball. And being from Portland, Oregon, "Rip City" echoes our halls during the holidays, from Grandma to the littlest of the kids. Basketball, specifically, the Portland Trailblazers is constantly spoken about in our living room.
My dog, Daisy, is now a constant part of this annual ritual. She'll lay close to my Dad as he watches the game. In the fourth quarter, as the action of the game gets tighter, Dad’s pats on her head grow more rigorous. When this happens, Daisy knows it's time to move along.
She'll then move on to the kids of the family, who she knows will give her their full attention. She really appreciates the endless love and tummy rubs!
As a three-point shot is made by Damian Lillard or a slam dunk is thrown down by CJ McCollum, Daisy makes her way back over to me and jumps into my lap. She has that look on her face saying, "Sit down, Dad! There's still a lot of game left to play!"
Having these quality moments with her are definitely some of my favorite holiday moments!
